You鈥檝e probably heard it before: 鈥淭he only guarantees in life are death and taxes.鈥�

And taxes can be quite overwhelming, especially if you鈥檙e filling them out for the first time.

But help is available, as 糖心原创 and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance will host a series of workshops to help you prepare and e-file your income tax returns.

Every Friday, there will be free online sessions held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

You must pre-register and schedule an appointment.

Before the appointment, here are some quick tips:

• You must have access to a smart phone or webcam to verify your identity.聽
• You only need basic computer skills and an active email account.聽
• If you earned $79,000 or less in 2023, you qualify.聽
• Use your own laptop, tablet, or mobile device.
• Safe and secure online tax software.
